Roasted Asparagus Recipes With Any Meal

How To Trim Asparagus
Roasted Asparagus, a spring-time favorite recipe, is easily made from a vegetable that is related to the fern family and is widely used in cooking because of its ability to grow quickly and provide numerous nutrients for the body.   Asparagus is eaten as a stand-alone snack or as a great compliment to any meat or fish dishes.  Here are a few of the most widely used recipes for cooking with asparagus.  How to prepare asparagus for cooking: gently run the asparagus under cool, clean water.  Gently but firmly snap off (or cut) the bottom one inch of the stalk and dispose of it.  Lightly pat the spears dry with a paper towel or clean kitchen towel.

Roasted Asparagus 
For roasted asparagus, you will want to pre-heat the oven to 425 degrees F.  Lay all of the spears out evenly on a flat baking sheet lined with foil. Using a basting brush, lightly coat all of the spears with a healthy olive oil.  Lightly sprinkle the spears with Himalayan sea salt and pepper to taste.  Bake the spears 12-15 minutes until desired softness of spears.   Remove from oven and let cool a few minutes before serving.  Enjoy!

Roasted Asparagus Parmesan 
Parmesan cheese is a great addition to baked/roasted asparagus.  The flavor of the cheese mixed with the fresh crunch of the asparagus spear is a savory treat not to be missed!  Luckily for us, it is simple to prepare.  Using the same directions as above, at the 12-minute mark or so, simply sprinkle the asparagus spears with the parmesan, and place back in the oven. 
Allow 1-2 minutes for the cheese to melt over the spears.

Roasted Garlic Asparagus 
Garlic is a yummy addition to many green vegetables! To prep for the roasted garlic, you will want to coat the spear with the olive oil then either baste them with minced garlic or sprinkle them with garlic salt.
